Lucky is a lovely boy who is full of personality and is looking for a forever home. He is currently in foster in Newbury, Berkshire. When he arrived in the UK 2 years ago, he was a scared boy, but with time and patience he has come on leaps and bounds. He is very food motivated, so the way to his heart is through his stomach! He likes being groomed, is fine having a harness put on and is also good in the car. He loves his daily walks, where he likes to sniff and potter around. Lucky is good on the lead and generally well behaved, although he does get a bit excited and barks when he sees other dogs. He seems to be better with female dogs. He has rarely been off lead (only in a secure field) and his foster home use a long-line. He will respond and come back when treats are on offer.

Lucky loves to laze the day away on the sofa and is not too fussed about going outside. He is fully toilet trained and will let you know if he needs to go out. Lucky will need his own space in the house where he can relax and enjoy quiet time, but he’s also more than happy to have a play and a cuddle. He is ok being left for a few hours and has a licky mat or bone if he is in the house on his own. He has become more trusting of people, but is still very wary of male strangers.

Lucky would suit a quiet adult home or a home with sensible and respectful older children. He could be homed as an only dog or with a quieter settled/older dog.
